Michael Obay has a very simple invite. I like it. Let’s break it down.
The actual invite is just to see if they are open to making money! Here it is:
John, let me ask you something real quick. Listen I started a part-time business recently. I’m really excited about it. I’m not sure if it’s something you would be interested in, but do you keep your options open to making additional income?
Then he just sets up a time to make the presentation, ideally in person.
Let’s break down the invite:
“John I started a part-time business”
If he had said a new business, then that sounds like a lot of work and a lot of money to start. Or it will interfere with current work.
“I’m really excited about it”
This person is your friend. If you’re excited about, she will be too!
“This may not be for you”
That tells the person, there is no pressure
“Do you keep your options open to additional income?”
The most important part. Where we find out what we were wondering.
